The Space Needle!!!!!! Sounds kinda creepy, huh!
Now the moment we’ve been waiting for, the Space Needle observation deck! With our 2:00pm reserved ticket in hand we stroll over to the base of the Needle and get in line with the other 150 people. No your reserved ticket does not mean you’ll be on the observation deck at that time, that’s the time you can get in line, silly! We make our way to one of the many elevators and crowd in with the amateur comedian / historian that pushes the up/down button. Quick ride to the top (520’) and now to weave our way outside to view Seattle and the bay. Actually a pretty nice view, not sure it’s worth $21/person, but a nice view. Here’s a fun fact: two of the elevators travel at 10mph, considered “high speed”. Just so happens that rain falls from the sky at 10mph. Coincidence, I think not!
