Prepping for Return To Europe
It’s been a while since we were in Europe, like 8.5 months, so time to head back. This time we’re doing a drive trip starting in France, then Italy, then Slovakia, then Croatia, then Montenegro, back to Italy, back to France, then on to our final country, Monaco.
We targeted 2 months for this round and will be doing a mix of hotels and AirBnB’s for lodging. We leased a new Peugeot Model 2008 mini-SUV for the drive. Great deal if you’re in Europe more than 21 days. The cost of this car worked out to be $41 / day with 0 deductible full coverage insurance, multi-driver, unlimited kilometers, and it’s a brand new vehicle straight from the Peugeot factory. Keep that in mind next time you’re heading to Europe.
Some of the highlights for this trip: wine tasting and biking through Burgundy; Mont Blanc sightseeing in Chamonix, France; Roman ruins in Verona, Italy; castles, Dragon Bridge, and food market in Ljubljana, Slovania; Dalmatia coast in Croatia; Ostrog Monastery, Central Montenegro; archeological site in Pula, Sardenia; Belvedere Point Panoramic, Corte, Corsica; Mount Faron cable car, Toulon, France, etc.
Soooo, to kick of this adventure, one of my all time favorite tunes. Thank you Foghat!
