Portuguese Experience Adventure
Slow day today, rainy and a bit cooler, around 580 and cloudy. Time to catch up on some writing and do a bit of laundry. This apartment has a nice washing machine in the ½ bath and drying racks on the patio so we’re set for laundry. Just need to bring the racks inside and set the portable oil heater under them to help with the drying.
We did find some time to escape the house, just long enough to have Collette try the “Portuguese Experience”, a tourist must! I tried it as well but left most of mine for Collette to finish. “What could this be?”, you ask. “What amazing thing are Dan and Collette doing now?”
Well, you better sit down cause this is a grand experience. We decided to try the codcake and port! Not such a big deal for the little woman but for me, one giant leap for mankind! I really don’t care for fish but couldn’t pass this up, and no it wasn’t just for the port wine. Well maybe, but I did try the codcake so that counts for something.
These codcakes are made with cod, potatoes, parsley, onions and a secret ingredient that really brings a snap to the ole taste buds. Check out the pics and video below for all the details.
