Oslo Trekking
Our first day of exploring Oslo. We have a list of want-to-see’s so we’ll try to hit them all over the next 4 days. Since our apartment is close to Frogner Park which contains the Vigeland statue installation, that’s first on the list. This park is the largest park in Oslo covering some 45 hectares, ~111 acres, and has been home to Gustav Vigeland’s sculptures since the installation started in 1920. In all, there are 212 sculptures made from granite and bronze, depicting a surreal look at human life. In the center of this installation is Gustav’s masterpiece, the Monolith. As the name implies, this carving of 121 figures is made from a single piece of granite 46 feet tall!
All of Gustav’s sculptures have names but we though it would be interesting to try and place a caption with some of our favorites.

I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, four-flushing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, shitless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is. Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where’s the Tylenol?

They always told me that to be a good speaker, imagine yourself naked in front of the audience. Wait, do I have that right?
That’s all for today. MTF…………………..
