More Walkabout in Bergen

Woke bright and early this morning to the sound of backhoes, shovels, dump truck unloading gravel and the suck-a-sack crew busy putting the pipeline together. I’ve said it before, but you know, I could watch people work all day. Really is fascinating to see the coordination between the guy with a shovel, the guy in the backhoe, and the guy in the dump truck. It almost looks choreographed, like a play unfolding right outside our window. Almost makes you forget that it’s 6:45am!

Guess it’s shower, eat and stroll over to the funicular for a ride up the mountain. Weather is holding for us, no rain forecast until later today and around 600. Once at the top (1,050′), we’ll hit the restaurant and enjoy our fika. As long as the clouds stay away, the views should be awesome. The round trip ride costs ~$19.00USD for two.

May sound boring but time to head back to the apartment, finish up the laundry, pack and get ready to drive off to Oslo tomorrow. It will be another 7-hour drive so a long day on the road.
