La Casa in Arizona

Settled on a home in north Scottsdale for the month of September. This home is 3300 sq. ft., has a large pool and covered patio, 3 bdrms, 3 baths, and was very reasonable. One home we really wanted to rent had an owner that must be suffering from Alzheimer’s. We wrote, no reply. We wrote again, no reply. We wrote for a third time, got a reply – “We’re in South America. Will respond to your inquiry tomorrow when we return to Arizona.” Gee, couldn’t just respond instead of telling us to wait until tomorrow?????

Anyway, got the response and an offer of a 10% discount. Looked good so we sent an email asking if we had the price right and how the owner would like us to proceed. No response. Wrote another email, no response. Wrote yet another email, no response. Gave up. This owner must sit around in the evening with a beer and read the emails to his significant other for a good laugh. Hope the laugh was worth not getting the rent for a month!

So, off to Scottsdale 31 Aug 17. We’ll be driving so we’re going to take a couple of days to see the sights along the way. Can’t check in before 4pm on the 1st so no hurry.
