Final posting for Antarctica

Thought I’d put one more post out as we start our way across the Drake Passage. This will be a 2.5 day journey across some of the roughest waters on the planet. The Drake Passage is estimated to have claimed over 800 ships and taken the souls of over 20,000 sailors. The most recent accident in the Drake Passage was in 2022 on a Princess line cruise ship.

The seas are forecast to be around 30-40’ swells with about 25 knot winds, pretty common for this time of year. We tried Dramamine on the way over and didn’t care for it so this time, we’re just going to ride it out. May miss a few meals but I’m sure we’ll be fine.

Anyway, here are a few more pics from the adventure. Enjoy. (Thank you Atlas photographers)
