Farewell to Dijon

One last look at Dijon as we get ready for our next stop, Chamonix, France. The drive will be about 5.5hrs and takes us through Geneva, Switzerland. It’s Saturday here in Dijon so everyone will be out and about. On our list is the central market to check out what goes on there on the weekend.

Definitely the happening place on Saturday. I think half of the town’s population is here buying veggies, meats, breads, you name it, it’s all here. Some buy their food from the local stands then head to the center where they have a wine / beer bar. Pretty much everyone breaks out their food and enjoys it with a glass of wine or beer.

Meat, mushrooms, and nuts stuffed in a thin crust of bread. Why the nuts?

Nothing like the spice and olive vendors we saw in Morocco.
